Of Mice And Men

Part 1: The part of the novel is of two men dreaming of their own farm. They see to escape the past and start out fresh. It all falls apart with one decision, Thus; the dream dies.

Part 2: The main themes would be impossible dream and the power of women. Lennie a huge strong man who has the mind of a child and his friend/protector George a small dark of face man. They wish for a new start and their own land. The new land leads to a new start and not having to work on other people's land. The women end the dream. Lennie loves to pet soft things so one day he touches a girls soft dress. Well she screams, Lennie's only instinct is to hold on for life. George takes Lennie before the kill him for rape. The two men end up in another farm work stay out of trouble. Until another women's neck is snapped by Lennie.

Part 3: The protagonist(s) Lennie and George are static. They don't change in anyway and stay the same.

Part 4: A symbol would be the mouse. Lennie as sated earlier loves to pet soft things. Well he finds a mouse pets it and touches it until his strong fingers kill it. The mouse represents the future to come. In the past we see he rips a SOFT dress and kills a SOFT mouse. The foreshadowing of when the two men start fresh in a new farm.

Part 5: I choose this book because I read it before  and wanted to refresh myself on it. When I read it I understood much more. Once you pick it up you can't put it down.

Part 6: I saw so much of Lennie in myself how he never wants to fail and works hard to accomplish his dreams. Lennie isn't the smartest but with help he'll understand.

Part 7: One idea I will never forget would be when you love something set it free. For example, on page 106 "And George raised the gun and steadied it, and brought the muzzle of it close to Lennie's head." George set Lennie free otherwise Lennie would've ended up on jail. When you love or care about something set it free.

Antiogone Quick-Write

If my sister wouldn't help me because she's scared well I'll help myself. I would burry mu brother in honor because he was totally radical and he didn't deserve to die. I am willing to die to do the right thing. I first will burry my brother in honor and put his soul to rest. Then expose my jerk brother as an unworthy coward. If that plan fails I will resort to plan B. Plan B will include killing my uncle.  I'd have a hit man do the deed. I would take the throne. First, declaration as king un burry my loser brother and tell my citizens he was pathetic and nothing. He started pointless fight; therefore, my other brother should be buried in honor. My citizens and I would throw a huge ceremony to honor my late brother and set his soul to peace
